Tips to Get to Your Departure Gate On Time
Bullet As you know, recent events have caused airports to increase security measures. This has translated into longer lines and wait times clearing security at U.S. airports.
The people of Apple Vacations and USA 3000 Airlines will work together to ensure that our customers' vacation experience is as smooth as possible while making every effort to ensure the safety of our passengers, pilots and crew. Passengers should be advised of new heightened security measures.

Apple Vacations suggests:
· Arrive at least three hours prior to departure;
· Bring proper proof of citizenship to expedite the check in process;
· Pack lightly and understand carry on baggage restrictions (listed in detail at www.tsa.gov);
· Reconfirm flight schedules with the departure airport prior to leaving home.

Mexico Travel Update - March 2009
Bullet The U.S. Department of State recently issued a Travel Alert, warning of increased violence and drug-related conflicts taking place in several border towns of Mexico. Intensified criminal activity in Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez, and the City of Chihuahua, among other border locations, is documented on the U.S. Department of State website at www.travel.state.gov.

Apple Vacations has sent tens of thousands of travelers to the major Mexico resort areas over the past few months without incident. Our Vacation Satisfaction Survey results confirm that Apple Vacations' customers are enjoying a very positive vacation experience in Mexico, and would recommend their destination to friends and family. Apple's vacation satisfaction scores from customers traveling to Mexico in 2009 actually exceeded previous levels.

Apple Vacations is in daily contact with Amstar DMC, our destination management company, with hundreds of Apple Vacations Resort Representatives in Mexico to serve you. They too have confirmed that the resort areas have not been affected.

When vacationing anywhere, visitors are encouraged to stay in the tourist areas and exercise common sense and proper precautions. Should you have any questions, please contact your travel agent or review the latest State Department Information for travelers.

A message from the CEO, Mexico Tourist Board

Quintana Roo Keeps Free From Swine Flu
Bullet Message from Quintana Roo State Secretary of Tourism (pdf)

Quintana Roo State Secretary of Tourism informs that the state is free from Swine Flu disease up to now, and that not a single case of the disease, or related cases have been reported at the main tourism destinations.

The detection and prevention plan implemented by Mexico´s Ministry of Health continues, by means of check points placed at airports, cruise and bus terminals, as well as permanent monitoring in the more than 77,000 hotel rooms operating in Quintana Roo.

The government agency also informs that tourism related activities develop normally in Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Riviera Maya, Cozumel and Grand Costa Maya. All destinations remain attentive to the Health Authority´s directions.

Quintana Roo State Government is supportive of other Mexican states where the Swine Flu outbreak has taken place, and will be respectful of precaution measures and recommendations implemented in foreign countries in regard to international travel.

For the State Government the highest priority now is the preservation of health among all the population, including citizens and visitors.
